Veterinary Pesticide Incident Reporting Portal
NPIC's Veterinary Incident Reporting Portal (VIRP) has been discontinued.
To report adverse effects to a pet or domestic animal from a veterinary product or other pesticide, call the National Pesticide Information Center at 800-858-7378 or email npic@oregonstate.edu. An NPIC Specialist will ask additional questions and document the situation. Please be prepared to share as much detail as possible, including product information like active ingredient(s) and EPA Registration Number(s). NPIC incident reports are available to state and federal pesticide regulators.
To report an incident directly to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, please email report.pesticide.incident@epa.gov.
If you believe a pesticide has been used inappropriately or illegally, contact your State Pesticide Regulatory Agency.
Some pet flea and tick products are considered drugs and regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) instead of the EPA. Information about FDA-approved veterinary products is here.
